Rev. Hong-Kien Jeremiah Lee is an Elder in the Northern Illinois Conference of the UMC. Jeremiah studied at Colorado Christian University, where he earned a BA in Youth Ministry. He completed his Master of Divinity at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.

Meet Nicole
Nicole serves as our Church Administrative Assistant and Finance Secretary. She helps prepare our weekly worship bulletins and PowerPoint presentations and publishes our monthly church newsletter. Through her faithful work behind the scenes, Nicole helps keep our congregation informed, organized, and ready for worship and ministry.

Shirley Krell

Meet Shirley
Shirley is involved in many ministries at Bethel. She plays the piano and helps coordinate musicians for our Sunday worship services. She also serves as president of United Women in Faith and coordinates funeral luncheons. Through her faithful service, Shirley shares her gifts and helps care for our church family and community.

SaLT Facilitator
Meet Jim
Jim is a longtime member of Bethel UMC who has faithfully served on many church committees. He currently serves as facilitator of our SaLT (Spiritual Leadership Team) and is completing his Lay Servant Ministries course as he continues to grow in Christian leadership and service. Beyond the church, Jim also serves on the Highland Community College Board of Trustees.
